Driftwood Diaries

We did it!!!!

We camped out on the Yosemite valley floor.

We hiked to the top of Half Dome.

We sang, we listened, we shared, we worshipped.

We grew.

We roasted marshmallows.

We dreamed of what could be next…

I felt like God was showing me again, through this trip, the value of friendships — He’s stirring the thought that deepening my relationships with others is the real treasure.  Of course, God’s huge power in shaping the massive, granite peaks made an impression, too!  I read a meditation this morning by Hazrat Inayat Khan that has a lot more meaning to me know:

“Let me stand by truth in all calamities
as the mountain stands unshaken through storms

Strengthen my heart in Thy faith
as the rock of the mountains”
